- THE COUNCIL OF LIFE AND PERMANENT MEMBERS (CLPM)
The Council of Life and Permanent Members (CLPM) is the foundation structure and the embodiment of the conscience, soul, sanity and highest legal organ of the Institute, and represents the highest standard of morality of the Institute.The Council of Life and Permanent Members is constituted with persons spelt out in Article 3(3) (a) and (b) of the Institute’s Constitution Articles, and holds the properties and machineries of the Institute on trust for the Institute while serving as custodian of such assets/machineries. It appoints the President & Director-General of the Institute, and deliberate and decide on any serious problems of proceedings facing the Institute as it considers appropriate where it is referred to it by the President & Director-General; Confirms the nomination and appointment of officers/staff of the Institute; Deliberates, considers and decides upon any budget of the Institute, as submitted by the President & Director-General; Approves any amendment to the Constitution Articles or to any resolutions, Auxiliary Articles, Rules, Regulations, and By-laws; Receives reports and recommendations from the President & Director-General on any matters of interest to the Institute where the President & Director-General refer to it and advice the President & Director-General where appropriate; Renders advice to the President & Director-General in his administrative and monitoring role; Carries out all such other functions that shall be referred to it by the President & Director-General ; Approves final disciplinary action of erring members or officers of the Institute in consonance with the provision of the Constitution Articles; Considers and approve statements of accounts and auditors reports which shall be submitted to it by the secretariat ; and does any other thing required of it by the Constitution Articles of the Institute.
- OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT & DIRECTOR-GENERAL (OPD)
The Office of the President & Director-General is the overall management and secretariat of the Institute, and the President & Director-General of the Institute is the overall head of the Institute, administrator and legally authorized representative of the Institute, the head of management and the secretariat, managing director and chief administrative officer of the Institute, and is the Registrar of the Institute and Chairman Pro-tempo of the Governing Council of the Institute, as well as the visitor and superintendent of all other organs of the Institute.
Staff and Administrators of the Office of the President & Director-General also include:

(c) Director-General Assistant for Research;
(d) Director-General Assistant for Planning & Strategy;

The Office of the President & Director-General administers the programs and policies of the Institute, including those laid down by other organs of the Institute and represent the Institute in most crucial matters as well as promoting the image of the Institute in highest widest conception; Manages and superintends the management and administration of the Institute; Extends to the execution and maintenance of the Constitution Articles, all laws and functions provided by the Constitution and carries out such other functions contain in any Articles of the Constitution to which he is to undertake; Implements the decisions of the Institute and other organs of the Institute; Upholds and protects the Constitution and such other laws or instruments; Initiates and formulates policies and programs of the Institute; Studies, recommends and implements proposals and reports referred to him by other organs of the Institutes and assigns programs of action to promotes and achieves the functions, objectives and purposes of the Institute; Files and verifies the statement of accounts and auditor’s report from any quarters as they shall be submitted to the Council of Life and Permanent Members for adoption; Prepares the agenda, documents and programs for congresses, conferences, and meetings of the Institute; Draws up the budgets of the Institute; Receives applications, interviews, screens, scrutinizes and recommends all staff and officers of the Institute and submits same to the Council of Life and Permanent Members for appointment; Submits reports and makes recommendations to the Council of Life and Permanent Members on the affairs and development of the Institute, as spelt out in the Constitution Articles; Directs and approves publications, directives, actions and programs of the Institute; Prepares written and documentary annual and bi-annual reports on the activities of the Institute and presents or distributes same at the annual and bi-annual conventions as the case may be; Conducts such correspondences as may be required of the Institute from time to time and liaise regularly with other organs of the Institute and for purposes of dissemination of information, instructions, directions and actions; Summons or convene ordinary and extraordinary meetings of the Institute or of its principal organs.These extend to include conferences, seminars, summits, workshops, or any other forms of meetings; Keeps the register and other documents and a nominal role of all members/issues; Presides and direct the annual and biannual congress of the Institute; Attends to all correspondence addressed to and /or from Institute via his office; Keeps accurate records of all meetings and activities of the Institute; Formulates the general programs of the Institute and determine on the appropriate ways and means of their implementation; Be responsible for proper custody of all minutes and resolutions of the Institute, and shall extend to collections of all minutes of all organs and departments of the Institute; Approves all actions and proceedings of the Institute at the secretariat and of all organs in accordance to the Constitution Articles, and may initiate actions and proceedings on behalf of the Institute , or may appoint, approve or authorize any person, body or organ of the Institute to initiate such action or proceedings as he may deem fit; Be responsible for the central and proper management of both staff and assets of the Institute and administer and coordinate officials and organs with matters assigned to their offices; On consultation with the appropriate organs of the Institute, prepares financial guidelines and suggest levies required for the running of the Institute and any matter incidental thereto and present same to the Council of Life and Permanent Members for adoption; Mandates the disbursement of funds in accordance with the provisions of this Constitution Articles; Responds to public issues affecting the interest of the Institute or direct any appropriate organ, office, officer or member to do so; Keeps and take an inventory of all properties belonging to the Institute; Publishes, cause to publish, or approve the publication of any strategy research findings of the Institute, this may include press release and all other matter necessary f or publication; Oversees every strategy plans, implementations and field of research which the Institute shall embark upon; Oversees conferences, workshops or seminars on areas of interest to the Institute, including topics, agendas and programs schedules of such programs; Responds to, initiates, and carries out diplomatic and/ or advocacy measures whether by himself or in conjunction with any appropriate officer or committee of the Institute at any level, or direct an appropriate person of such jurisdiction to do so; Drafts recommendations for problems prevention measures; Signs all the officials documents pertaining to his office/duties and shall keep in close touch with the activities and duties of all organs of the Institute at any level, as well as to Convene and direct meeting of the specialized sessions (where appropriate ) of the Institute and that of its organs; May in certain circumstances or at any time, authorize any staff or appoint any other person or persons to act or assist him in his duties, such appointment to be backup with letter of authority stating the duration and area of service so represented; and does anything, which in his opinion is calculated to facilitate the carrying on of the activities of the Institute, where such activities facilitate or promote the purposes, functions and objectives of the Institute
- THE GOVERNING COUNCIL (GC)
The Governing Council (GC) is the academic and professional policy organ of the Institute. It is a stewardship body set up to provide oversight for the functioning of the Academy for Law, Human Rights and Development (ALHD) and other organs of the Institute as spelt out in the Constitution Articles of the Institute, except the Council of Life and Permanent Members and the Office of the President & Director-General. It accepts, admits and awards faculty members, members of college of fellows, and members of college of readers & scholars; Manages, administers and superintends the Academy for Law, Human Rights and Development (ALHD) and be the Governing Board of the academy; Reviews the Code of Standard and Procedure for Certification, Merit Award, Fellowship and Membership of ILAWDUN as it may deem fit from time to time, provided that such review shall be referred to the Council of Life and Permanent Members and only become effective upon the CLPM’s approval; Does any other thing assigned to it under this Constitution Articles and as may be directed or assigned to it by the President & Director-General or the Council of Life and Permanent Members.
- THE ACADEMY FOR LAW, HUMAN RIGHTS AND DEVELOPMENT (ALHD)
The Academy for Law, Human Rights and Development (ALHD) is created to strengthen the links between law, human rights and development and the Institute in general, organizations, practitioners, researchers, educators and scholars worldwide, and to address the need for a specialized and scholarly legal approach to law, human rights and development, the advancement of law, human rights and development as well as purposes of the United Nations as informed in the Institute’s objectives; through academic on-sight, in-campus, hybrid and on-line programs to students, researchers, scholars and practitioners worldwide. The Academy for Law, Human Rights and Development (ALHD) is administered by the Governing Board of the Academy which is the Governing Council (GC) of the Institute and highest governance unit of the Academy; the Office of the Chancellor; the Senate of the Academy headed by the Chancellor and comprises of the Registrar, Deputy Registrars and all Deans of faculties of the Academy; Administrative Staff Unit headed by the Registrar of the Academy; the Faculties headed by Deans of faculties; the Departments associated to faculties, and headed by Departmental Directors; and the Student Affairs headed by Director of Student Affairs.
The Functions of the Academy for Law, Human Rights and Development (ALHD) Include being the principal source of research of the Institute that expands the frontiers of knowledge and produce, promote and facilitate research; being the Institute’s full academic organ that operate at a university college level; conducting examinations and award certificates, diplomas, pre-graduate, graduate and post-graduate degrees and other qualifications; Committed to the creation and dissemination of knowledge , in a range of disciplines and fields related to law, human rights and development and the objectives of the Institute; providing for the training, education and examination of persons; hosting and operate appropriate laboratories , libraries, and other infrastructures that permit teaching and research at the highest positive level; hosting the research databank and database of the Institute; carrying out educational activities of the Institute through : (a) Instructions; (b) Organized research ; (c ) Other specialized activities; (d) Other institutional activities.
The Institute may absorb any private or public educational institution or center of learning as part or anchor of the Academy, either by full or periodic absorption instrument or through a collaborative agreement.
- THE COLLEGE OF FELLOWS (CF)
The College of Fellows is a union of fellows of the Institute which fulfills a variety of important functions within the Institute’s purposes and objectives. It assists in implementation of programs organized by the Institute from time to time , such as symposium, conferences, seminars, training programs and other institutional activities; Provides assistance to the College of Scholars and Readers in matters that relate to the objectives and purposes of the Institute , and upon request, provide same assistance to the President & Director-General; Attends meetings, workshops, courses, and training organized by the Institute and may be called upon to assist in dissemination of knowledge; Forwards advisory recommendations to the Governing Council and the President & Director-General on issues regarding the advancement of the purposes and objectives of the Institute; Guides the interns of the Institute in enhancing the activities of the Institute towards intellectuality, traditionalism, social and humanitarian values and ethics, policy and strategy, leadership, community service , and recreation; Holds meetings and discussions with the students and interns to establish fraternity for maximum potentials. And does any other things assigned to them under the Constitution Articles or as may be assigned by the President & Director-General of the Institute.
- THE COLLEGE OF SCHOLARS AND READERS (CSR)
The College of Scholars and Readers (CSR) is a body of highly academic actors, educators and researchers of the Institute established in line with Article 3 (3) (f) of the Constitution Articles, which provides unique time-limited opportunities and services for students of the Institute and faculties of the Academy for Law, Human Rights and Development, to interact closely with scholars for learning, knowledge and development purposes, through a variety of functions and education / intellectual activities. It Contributes to the Academy for Law , Human Rights and Development (ALHD)’s teachings by presenting formal lectures, interactive classroom discussions, regarding their research or area of specialties, for broad audiences across the Academy; Engages in formal or informal discussions with faculty and students ; Undertakes collaborative research with faculty; Provides consultation on pertinent research projects; Participates in curriculum development conversations to enrich existing courses or create new ones; Attends organized study groups; Helps to shape, expand and execute new strategic initiatives for the academy in particular and the Institute in general; Partners with faculties of the Academy for Law, Human Rights and Development to anchor research articles or policy briefs; Networks and expand professional contacts for the Institute by participating in educational and social functions that occur at the Academy for Law, Human Rights and Development (ALHD) during the length of their tenure, including conferences, symposium, seminars, guest lecture, inaugural lectures, intellectual activities of the Institute; Commits to research and teaching with demonstrable considerable impact in their respective filed; Administers within the Institute, initiatives and intellectual actions that provides opportunity to enrich education, research and collaborative initiatives of the Institute by focusing on the specific scholarly work / or research of critical issues; Guides the student of the Institute in enhancing the activities of the Institute towards intellectuality, traditionalism, social and humanitarian values and ethics, policy and strategy, leadership, community service , and recreation; Participates in programs that affect the welfare and problems of students and interns of the Institute whether academic or non-academic matters and try to solve them through counseling and guidance; Does any other thing assigned to them under the Constitution Articles or as may be assigned by the Governing Council, or Academy for Law , Human Rights and Development , or the President & Director-General of the Institute.
- THE COUNCIL FOR LAUREL HONORS AND MERIT AWARDS ( CLHMA)
The Council for Laurel Honors and Merit Awards is a group of people of highly recorded integrity and knowledge , tasked with the responsibility of selecting individuals and organizations for conferment of laurel prizes of honor and merit awards, and to administer the Institute merit awards and laurel prizes, and award merit honors and prizes to winners for their demonstrable and provable works or productivity done through research, innovation, discovery, initiatives, authorship, and development, which turn to the greatest benefit of humankind as they relate to the purposes and objectives of the Institute and for development and good of humanity , or as may be defined in the Code of Standard and Procedure for Certification, Merit Award, Fellowship and Membership of ILAWDUN. The Council is the controlling authority of the laurel honor prizes and merits awards program.It formulates permanent criteria and qualifications for award of honors and merit awards of the Institute; Receives nominations, assess, evaluate and approve winners; Investigates, reviews, and evaluates the merits of each proposed nominee; Reports investigations, findings and recommendation to the Governing Council. Such a report indicates whether the suggestion and nomination was adopted and its impact or rejected and the reason for the rejection; Re-evaluates and monitors the efficacy and progress of the suggestion or nomination that has been put into effect and summarize legal support and policy support systems before final approval of the prizes and merits awards; Be responsible for any review and issuance of guidelines for suggestion and nomination; Reviews and establish merit awards designations; Does any other thing assigned to them under this Constitution Articles or as may be assigned by the Governing Council, the Academy for Law, Human Rights and Development, and the President & Director-General of the Institute.
All operations of the Council are as stipulated in the Code of Standard and Procedure for Certification, Merit Award, Fellowship and Membership of ILAWDUN, the by-laws and regulations of the Council and subject to the Constitution Articles.A person or organization awarded a laurel prize and honor by the Council is regarded as ILAWDUN Prize Laureate. Each Laurel Prize consists of a certificate, medal, and monetary award as may be determined by the Council from time to time and approved by the Council of Life and Permanent Members, subject to such provisions of the Code of Standard and Procedure for Certification, Merit Award, Fellowship and Membership of ILAWDUN and the Constitution Articles.
Without prejudice to the powers of the Council for Laurel Honors and Merits Awards, upon recommendation of the Governing Council and approval of the Council of Life and Permanent Members, to expand or add further categories, the Prize categories shall be Ten (10) , namely: Law Research (LR); International Law & Diplomacy (ILD) ; Legal Literature & Law Development (LLLD); Law Litigation Solution (LLS); Civil Liberty & Human Rights (CLH); Broad-spectrum Literature (BsL); Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (HHL),Broad-spectrum Analytical Philosophy (BsAPhil) ; Technology & Science Innovation for Law and Development (TSILD); Standard-Bearer of Judicial Honoris (SJH).
- THE INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL OF LAW AND LEGAL LITERATURE AUTHORS (ICLLA)
The International Council of Law and Legal Literature Authors (ICLLA) is an affiliated body of the Institute operating as a global union open to all authors and authors’ organizations of a multi-dimensional legal fields and thematic issues related to law and legal literature, particularly writers, illustrators, translators, literary translators, poets, novelists, scriptwriters, patents owners, researchers, innovators, whose work has either been patented, published, registered or certified by statutory or public library, publishing firm, school, journals, organization and institution recognizable by ICLLA. It is a world federation organization established by the Institute under the Constitution Articles as a largest union for all types of authors – writers, illustrators, literary translators, poets, novelists, scriptwriters, patent owners, innovators on law and legal literature and such thematic issues related to law and legal literature, at any stage of their career.
ICLLA acts a division of the Institute acting as a people movement for interest of its members who are authors; Administers prizes for relevant fiction and non-fiction, poetry, drama, translators, and other writers; Administers a range of grants and aid for writers, researchers and authors in need and fund values of works that are in progress; Consults, guide and advises members on professional issues pertaining to their works, contracts, and innovations in progress; Provides funding opportunities for relevant newly growing authors; Represents the interest of all its registered authors across the world , including protecting intellectual property, bargaining , contract terms and agreements; Provides training and mentorship opportunities to support professional development of young and growing authors; Runs programs and opportunity for members to achieve recognition on their remarkable works; Provides contract assessment and individual advice on professional practice; Assists in contract vetting for its members; Certifies and license member’s authors, innovators and inventors works in the seal of the society; and does any other thing assigned to it under the Constitution Articles or as may be assigned by the Governing Council or Academy for Law, Human Rights and Development, or the President and Director-General of the Institute.
ICLLA has the following organizational forums : Pure and Applied Law Writers Forum (PALWIF); Legal Literature and Literary Prose and Poetry Writers Forum (LEPWIF); Law Development Writers Forum (LADWIF); Law with Science-related Writers Forum (LASWIF); and if deem fit and proper, may create additional forums.
- TRUST FUND FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES (TUFREDA)
There is established for the Institute a Trust Fund for Research and Development Activities which manages and superintends the FUND for research and development activities undertaken by the Institute; managed and controlled by the said Fund.
The Trust fund for Research and Development Activities holds and manages a variety of assets, such as money, real property, stocks and bonds, charity donations, businesses, or combination of different types of properties or assets for the purpose of research and development activities undertaken by the Institute; It Set out terms for the way the assets for research and development activities are to be gathered and distributed; Manages the fund’s assets and executes directives of the fund to the beneficiaries and recipients and for such approved research and development projects activities; Provides investments dictionaries, advice, reviews, rates and compares financial products and opportunities for the purpose of advancement and achievement of research and development activities of the Institute.
- ILAWDUN FUND (IF)
There is established for the Institute a fund under the Constitution Articles referred to as “ILAWDUN FUND”. The FUND is the general financial system and banking accounts of the Institute. Such sums and payments received from members, persons, institutions, governmental and non-governmental organizations, state and non-state actors, corporations, charities and foundations, any other person, body or institutions for the performance of its functions under the Constitution Articles; Such sums as may be credited to the FUND by way of interest from investments made from the fund; Aid, grants or any other accruals to the Institute in order to perform its functions; All fees and other money payable to the Institute; Such money as may be payable to the Institute whether in the course of the performance of its functions or otherwise; and such money as may be held by the Institute.
- UNIVERSAL SCHOOL OF ECLETIC ANALYSIS, LEGAL REASERCH & LAW STUDIES (UNISERL)
The Universal School of Eclectic Analysis, Legal Research & Law Studies, hereinafter abbreviated as UNISERL, is an educational institution – a school registered in England and Wales, United Kingdom, and subsumed into ILAWDUN’s Constitution Articles, as an autonomous and independent affiliated and subsidiary school of the Institute.
UNISERL is a knowledge-based system and educational center of multidisciplinary and multidimensional systems with direct community(in-campus and off-campus), hybrid and internet-based systems designed to develop and share knowledge openly, and also with special programs for admission.
UNISERL’s systemic programs and activities are drawn appropriately from multiple disciplines and dimensions to define and redefine concepts and problem solving outside normal boundaries through research and solution-based techniques towards complex issues, and through critical thinking, advanced analysis and research for a more holistic understanding of the principles of law, humanity and the principles of life in all dimensions, nature and the universe. It seeks to establish knowledge, truth, and values.
UNISERL deploys a variety of paraphernalia and accessories for practical knowledge development and dissemination. This include journals, such as UNISERL Journal of Multidimensional Analysis & Multidisciplinary Research (UJMMR), downloadable texts, online chat room and forums, discussion board, coaching, open presentation and lectures, video conferencing, articles and papers publications, symposiums and conference organizations, educational consultancy projects, expert review and consultation, expert opinions, technical and policy support systems and analysis, concept analysis, seminars and in-person lectures, scholastic training and certification with certificates, diplomas, higher and advanced degrees.
- INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR HUMANITARIAN & ENVIRONMENTAL LAW (ISHERL)
The International Institute for Humanitarian & Environmental Law, abbreviated as ISHERL, is a research and advocacy organization registered and headquartered in Nigeria, West Africa, and is subsumed into ILAWDUN Constitution Articles as an autonomous and independent affiliated and subsidiary body of the Institute.
ISHERL is a legal, research and advocacy institution of a global status, which undertakes multi-sector and specialist team activities, including review and formulation of strategic assistance, representative, analytical and advisory services and cross-support to other sectors in the design, monitoring, campaign and implementation of high-level program relating to environment, human rights, environmental law, education, environmental systems, intellectual development, humanitarian law, sustainable development, and development across themes.
ISHERL undertakes thirty-four (34) objectives stipulated in its registration documents. It increasingly identifies, analyzes and proposes practical solutions to a broad range of legal, technical, operational and multi-dimensional issues affecting humanity, governance, policy, and its functions related projects. These include, initiating and contributing in high-level discussions on policy reform and developmental program as well as consultancy services in such projects. The functions represent a spectrum of approaches from the level of creative visions, reform advocacy and creative problem-solving through training and education program down to legal development and actual implementation of program as it focuses on strengthening of international and national training and evaluation program and to design, document, disseminate and promote positive incentives and models for development that can be adapted and replicated throughout developed and least-developed countries, as well as the United Nations systems, as contained in its registration memorandum of association.
